Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear future Au-Pair,

we are happy to welcome you to our family in Frankfurt.
We love art and design and always have an open and welcoming house. Hence we are looking for an open-minded, kind and fun person to join us. It is the first time, that we are welcoming an Au Pair to our family. We will make sure that you feel comfortable and immediately at home.
Our daughter Wilhelmine loves to play outside in the garden, or read books and draw. Her brother Dagobert is mostly being dragged along, admiring his older sister. Both of them grow up with Ypsilon, our dachshund.
You would spend most of the time with us in Frankfurt and occasionally join us on the weekends in the countryside.
As Frankfurt is quite small, everything is within a 15 min bike ride or easy to reach with public transport.
From where we live, it is very close to the river Main or Stadtwald.
The area is called Sachsenhausen.

Job Description

You would help us in the morning, to get the kids ready for daycare. This might include preparing breakfast or playing with them in the morning as well as tidying their dishes and room afterwards and / or doing laundry.

Occasionally, you could start the day by taking our dog for a walk.

In the afternoon you might pick them or one of them up from daycare, spend some time at the playground or at home.

Further, you would join me and the kids for trip to the supermarket and running errands. Most days, I am there to pick up the kids, take them to activities or do fun stuff at home - like playing in the garden outside, cooking, baking or playing inside.

Some days, you would take care of one of them in the afternoon, but mainly give me an extra hand and spend the time with all of us, helping in the household with tasks such as doing laundry and preparing meals, doing dishes etc.

Occasionally, you watch them in the evening when we go out or in the morning on a Saturday morning.

When the day care is closed, you would watch the kids throughout the day.
Helping out in the household with all tasks related to the children is much appreciated.

We don´t have a spare room in our flat, so you would have a room in the flat above ours, adjacent to our office.
