Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair,

We are Marc and Katja and our children, Joel (just turned 5 years old) and Ruby (just turned 2.5 years old) as well as Ally, our small young dog. We live in the suburbs of a town (Idstein), close to larger cities such as Wiesbaden, Mainz and Frankfurt. Children love swimming and playing music.
We are happy to support you with the following:
- Find a suitable online language course,
- Joint purchases
- Weekend activities with the host family
- Improve your German skills

We see your tasks as follows:
- Looking after the children, that means playing with them (no mobile games), doing crafts, going for walks, riding a bike, accompanying them to the swimming pool
- carry out light housework (keeping the house clean and in order, ironing laundry, etc.) and also actively asking for support
- Prepare healthy and varied meals
In addition to your own room and full meals, our “monetary” benefits include pocket money of €300 and health insurance.
You also have the opportunity to attend a German language course and receive an additional €70 per month.
