Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are Saskia and John and Hugo, we live in a small village 25 minutes’ drive from Dresden. Saskia is from Germany and works part time in Dresden and loves gardening and cooking when she has time. John is from New Zealand and works in Dresden most workdays and loves to build things and spends most of his spare time doing maintenance on the house and garden. At home we speak mostly English and sometime a little German. Hugo is an easy-going baby and is always happy so long as he has all his basic needs met. We are looking for someone to care for Hugo (5 months old) during most weekdays depending on Saskias schedule. We do not need any support in the most weekends and evenings, so you are free to explore the local region or join us with which ever activities we decide to do such as cycling, swimming, visiting friends and family, or attending an event in Dresden.
We have a large house that has two apartments on the ground floor where two Ukrainian families live, the rest of the house is used by us. The top floor contains the guest bedrooms and toilet where you will have your own space. You can share the main apartment with us for the bathroom, dining room, kitchen and living room.

Our expectations of the Au Pair:
• Cleans up after themself
• Keeps own area and own toilet clean

If you enjoy cooking, we are always happy to have you contribute to the evening meals.
The village has nearly all the amenities that you need such as shop, doctor, post etc... Our house is located near the centre of the village, so everything is accessible within 5 minutes walking. You can get to Dresden by bus and train.
