Work abroad in Maria Jose's family for 1-3 Months starting from Jun 2024 as an Au Pair and Live-in Tutor to take care of 1 children of 1 - 5 years old in Villavicencio, Meta Colombia

We are looking for a friendly and outgoing girl to join our family initially from mid/end-June to mid/end-September (3 months). Why this period? Because this is the period we already know we will be at home and not traveling ?

Our priority this year is to increase our son’s vocabulary and confidence with the language, and that's how you become a key part of our family dynamic this year. We would love to host you so that you can help our son boost his English skills, and my husband and I finally actually switch to speaking English between us ?

Since we own a pool and the weather here is usually warm, we need you to be a good swimmer so that you can safely enjoy the pool with our son. It would also be a plus if you have any first aid training.

Our son doesn't go to school. He spends the days with us. He is a lovely and smart boy. He looooooves playing, and we would love you to become his best playing mate. His favorite toys are Duplo blocks. He really likes building things and inventing stories with the little people he owns. He also likes riding his balance bike and playing at the pool. He is also our best cooking helper, so it would be nice if you also enjoy cooking.

Our son has tons and tons of energy, so you better also be energetic ?

Our home base is our country house in Villavicencio, Colombia. We spend half the year here, and travel the other 6 months. Villavicencio is the capital city of the department named Meta. It is only 90 km away from Bogota (the country's capital city.)

We live in a gorgeous villa with a pool in the middle of the nature, surrounded by native animals such as toucans and monkeys. We own 5 dogs, hens and chickens, cows, and a very friendly horse.

Our house is only 5 min by car from Villavicencio, and 10-15 min to downtown. You can easily access our place by taxi (also public transportation, but we prefer taxi).

To be honest, we don't know about the language schools in the area, but will start researching them as well ASAP. I did make a quick research a moment ago, and found many private tutors in case that is something that is appealing to you.

I also belong to a moms' group and could help you find other girls/boys your age to socialize with on your free time here.

We really want you to feel part of the family. Our son is not used to being with anybody but his parents, so this will definitely be a new experience for him and all of us.
