Hello! I'm Mia , the youngest of 3 siblings, who enjoys school and playing volleyball. I grew up in beautiful Colorado and love the outdoors. As a high school senior who is graduating in May 2024 I am eager for what’s next!

I came across the idea of Au Pairing, and immediately became excited by the opportunities to travel and meet new people and families. The idea of being an Au Pair appeals to me because it offers the opportunity to immerse myself in different cultures while making a positive contribution to both the children and the host family. I have always enjoyed mentoring younger kids and am excited about the possibility of joining your family as an Au Pair & Live-in Tutor.

I believe I am well-suited for this role due to my academic excellence, experience in sports, sense of responsibility, cultural background, and personal qualities such as kindness and open-mindedness. All through highschool I consistently earned A grades while also playing varsity and club volleyball. I have been passionate about playing volleyball since I was 12 years old and am very team-oriented. For the last year I have also been working part-time as a hotel concierge. My family immigrated from South Africa and now we enjoy living in Colorado with five dogs and my pet pig. Since my mother was a teacher, I was always hanging around after the school day had ended and I became the babysitter for the other teacher’s kids. The more I did this, the more it helped me realize I also want to become a teacher one day. Being an Au Pair would help prepare me for my future as an educator.

Having me as your Au Pair & Live-in Tutor would allow for cultural exchange, educational support, and a positive influence. As a first generation American, it is important to me that all children feel included. I can provide new perspectives, experiences, and memories, all this while creating a meaningful long lasting connection. Living in Colorado has shaped me into someone who is easygoing and open-minded, ready to embrace every moment. I'm not just here to assist with homework and chores - I'm here to be a friend, mentor, and a positive presence in your lives.
