Dear Host Family,
The chance to meet you in person is super exciting! But let me start by introducing myself.
My name is Miriam; I am 24 years old, and I live in a small town called Kurasini here in Tanzania. I have a college degree and am currently working as an intern for an organisation called the Tanzania Breast Cancer Foundation. I grew up with my five cousins, and all of us were raised by our grandmother, Fatuma. I have an older cousin brother called Owen, who is now serving in the military. I being the second cousin, followed by my younger cousins, Caroline, who is 20 years old, Daniel, who is 18 years old, and Zilpa, who is 10 years old. Growing up, I learned the importance of family and helped my grandmother take care of my younger cousins.
Being an Aupair is more of a passion to me than a job, as I love dedicating my time to connecting with children, taking care of them, and attending to their needs. I believe a child is a living blessing, so spending time with children, teaching them, and making the children happy and secure around me relieves my heart.
I really hope to be welcomed into your family, as I am a very social, playful person and ready to spend most of my time playing with the children. Moments with me are never boring. I am a creative person and am excited to teach the children some new creative stuff. I can't wait to meet the family,especially the kids, to immerse myself in your country's culture and the adventures awaiting all of us, and of course to share my Swahili culture experiences with you without forgetting to feed you my special African dishes.
