Hey,
my name is Pauline and I'm 24 years old. I'm currently studying English and Geography to become a high school teacher but I will finish my studies in early summer this year. That is why I have been looking for a possibility to go abroad for some months now and decided that an Au Pair job might be a good choice for me. During my studies I have learned a lot about pedagogy and psychology in theory but I would like to have the experience to live in a foreign country and familiarize myself with a new culture. I have always loved working with children, it was one of the main reasons for becoming a teacher in the future.
During my studies I have been an English tutor for four years helping German kids and teenagers to improve their English skills. I have really enjoyed doing homework together or trying to find explanations for their questions. Additionally, I have some experience caring for children in the evening when their parents went out or came home late.
I think I'm a good choice for you because I would describe myself as an open-minded and well organized person, so that I will be able to structure my days according to your (and your children's) needs. I'm also very friendly and patient which, in my opinion, are important character traits when working with children.
