Lettera alla Famiglia
Hello, dear host family!
I hope this is a good time for you to receive this letter. I am writing to you with great enthusiasm to express my deep interest in the opportunity to become your next au pair. I have been actively seeking a family that values cultural exchange and genuine connection, and I believe that my personality, experience and aspirations would be an excellent match for your home.
My name is Maria, although I am often referred to as Mia. I am 24 years old. I am originally from a small town of German origin located in Venezuela. I consider myself a responsible, kind and patient person. Since I was a child, I have enjoyed exploring nature, reading and learning new things. I love animals, picnics and spending my afternoons doing relaxing activities like playing ball. I am an empathetic and self-taught person, with a great desire to learn and grow.
I am convinced that I would be an excellent addition to your family for several reasons. First of all, I am a very responsible and organized person, which allows me to handle tasks and schedules efficiently, ensuring that the children are always well taken care of and that household routines are maintained. I am proactive and always willing to help where needed, whether it is light housework or simply offering a helping hand.
In addition, I am patient and caring, qualities that I consider essential when interacting with children.
I adapt quickly to new situations and am eager to integrate into your family dynamics, respecting your rules and values. My aim is to be a supportive and trusted figure for your children, and a valuable help to you as parents. I am committed to creating a safe, fun and stimulating environment for your little ones.
Over the years, I have had a good relationship with the children I meet, I have known how to talk to them and how to calm them down in situations that are overwhelming for them. I tutored a seven year old in basic English, which was a great experience for me. I also taught art to a five year old, which made my afternoons rewarding. I have helped my friends' children with basic homework and organised outdoor activities and games with them.
I learnt basic first aid on a cabin crew course I did six months ago. I am willing to learn a new language, adapt to flexible schedules and accompany them to their extracurricular activities. I am committed to providing the best possible care for your children, promoting their well-being and development in an environment full of joy and respect.
I sincerely appreciate your time and consideration. I am very excited about the possibility of getting to know you better and discussing how I can contribute to your family. Enclosed is my resume for your review and I am available for an interview at any time that is convenient for you.
Sincerely,
Maria
