Dear host family,
My name is Esther, but my friends call me Essie. I am a 26-year-old female living in Ngong, a little town in Kajiado, Kenya, a lovely African country. I am an open-minded, hardworking, easygoing, committed, trustworthy, helpful, patient, and responsible individual. I enjoy taking care of children, and their well-being, safety, and happiness are very important to me.

Being the firstborn kid in a family of ten grandchildren, I come from a large family. My two younger brothers are sixteen and nineteen years old, respectively. We spend a lot of time together because I live with my mother, my grandparents, and the rest of my extended family within a 2-mile radius! My close inner group of friends is frequently thought of as "family" because I come from an extremely close family. I choose to surround myself with dependable and enjoyable people since I respect and value my friendships.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. I enjoy meeting new people, exploring new places, picking up languages, and most importantly, creating memories. My ability to be cool, collected, patient, and fast to pick things up often comes in useful while handling difficult circumstances.

My strength as an au pair would be my ability to blend in and form strong bonds with children. This allows me to be their big sister and mentor in all facets of life, while still being able to learn from my mistakes. On the other side, I would characterise my weakness as an Aupair because I find it difficult to let go of things or people, especially children, because I grow overly connected to them.

I'm looking for a host family that is open to learning different languages and cultures, would be nice and friendly to me, and would be delighted to have me as part of their family. I hope to stay with my host family for a long time—a year or longer, depending on how well we get along.
