Letter to the family
Hello families, please take a moment to read my letter to you.
I'm Esra, and I am a recent law graduate from Scotland, Uk. Having spent nearly my entire life in Scotland, I would love to experience a different culture and learn a new language abroad. In the past year I have travelled to Italy, France and Hungary and fell in love with the European lifestyle.
I want to start off by saying that the idea of becoming an au pair abroad excites me because it offers me a unique opportunity to combine my love for children with the passion I have for cultural exchange. I want to step out of my comfort zone and this for me means learning about life in another country, and form meaningful connections with a family that I can support and who also supports me. I believe living with a family abroad is one of the best ways to truly immerse myself in a new culture and language.
I've always had a natural connection with children, I love their energy, creativity and curiosity towards the world. I've volunteered in youth programs during my last year in secondary school and for a number of years worked as a child party entertainer for my family's small business, while also having a little experience babysitting for family and friends. I do have siblings, one older brother who I look up to very much and a younger brother who I love dearly. Being an older sibling, I can resonate well with the environment and have that experience that comes with being in a big family. All these experiences have brought out the love that I have always had being around children and I hope that I can bring a wave of joyfulness and fun into your home.
*About me*
I am a girl who loves life, especially learning/experiencing new things.
I am quite a sporty person, I love acrylic painting, rock climbing and ice skating. I definitely spend most of my time reading books as I have a passion for reading and writing books which is what drove me into studying law.
I have a organic healthy diet that I would like to continue in my time abroad. Therefore I love to cook, so I would love to cook at least once a week a traditional meal for the whole family if it is allowed :)
*Important*
I don't smoke and occasionally drink.
I am tidy and neat.
I expect to help your family with cooking and light daily chores laundry/washing up for the children.
I am really flexible in my schedule and therefore can accomodate to any short notices/changes.
I can travel anywhere with the family.
I would prefer separate accommodation close to where the family lives.
I am looking for an extended stay 3-12+ months.
Most importantly I am a loving and caring person and if I meet your families expectations I would love to schedule a call to meet you and tell you more about myself and answer any questions that you have about me. Another option is- I don't mind travelling and staying with you for 2-3 days to meet your family so you can meet me in person and introduce myself before my stay with your family!
*all expenses/flight paid by me*
Thank you for considering me to join your family : )
Kind regards,
Esra
