Nonna (21 / Ms. ), American & Russian, living in USA looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in France for 1-12 Months

To whom it may concern,

My name is Nonna. I am a senior at the University of Maryland, College Park, USA, and expecting to graduate in May 2024.
Growing up, my parents made the decision for me to attend school in Russia, so most of my life was spent there. After graduating high school, I was determined to move back to the US and complete my college studies there. I was successful to say the least. However I did not anticipate the drastic cultural change of living in the US that I experienced. Nevertheless, I would like to mention that adjusting was not as difficult as one may think. The most difficult part was accepting the fact that I do not fit into this county, and into their culture.
As I continued to study in college, I always felt as though I wanted something different. So, I started to travel. Throughout the years I have traveled to many different countries like Greece, Israel, Canada, and even got to live for a month in Serbia. However, the country that felt the most “like home” was France. After my first visit to France in 2021, I decided to start learning the language, and fell even more in love with the country and their culture. However, now that I am graduating soon, I started to think of ways I could fully experience the beauty of the county and improve my French language. Thus, it brings me to the reasons why I want to become an AuPair and Nanny.
In addition, I believe I am a good candidate for becoming an AuPair and Nanny because I have significant experience working with kids. I’ve worked with children ages 3 to 6 years old at my dance studio for 4 years. In addition, I organized events for children, as well as worked with them for 6 years every summer in my hometown. I am also experienced in tutoring children in math, Russian and English. Furthermore, I am currently completing an internship at a hospital hotel for children going through different treatments and clinical trials, where I get to work with them everyday in different fields at the job.

I believe working as an AuPair and Nanny would not only benefit me because I will have the opportunity to immerse myself in the language and country, but also be beneficial to the host family because I can bring significant knowledge to the child I will be taking care of.
