Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,

My name is Chuangjiabao, and I come from China. I graduated with a degree in Veterinary Epidemiology and Molecular Pathogenesis from Sichuan Agricultural University, and I am currently living in Berlin with a valid Chancenkarte. I am applying to join your household as a live-in caregiver for the elderly and as a tutor for family members who may benefit from structured learning support.

I have always believed that care is both a skill and a form of presence. My academic training has given me a deep understanding of anatomy, behavioral stress signs, and health awareness—skills that are highly transferable to elderly care. I have extensive experience in laboratory routines, working with precision, patience, and calm attention—qualities essential for supporting individuals with sensitivity and respect in their daily lives.

Alongside my scientific work, I have also worked as a private English tutor for secondary school students, focusing on grammar, reading comprehension, and conversational practice. This combination of caregiving and educational experience allows me to bring both emotional steadiness and intellectual support into the household.

You may consider hosting me because I offer a stable, thoughtful, and quiet presence. I do not require entertainment or distraction—I focus on the rhythm of others. I understand the boundaries of private space, and I take pride in maintaining cleanliness, routines, and respectful communication. I do not smoke, drink, or party. I am here to be useful.

I may not yet be fluent in German (currently at A2), but I am learning daily and can communicate reliably in English and Mandarin. I welcome written instructions and am comfortable with non-verbal cues where needed. I am ready to assist with physical routines, companionship, learning tasks, or language support—whenever and however your household requires.

Thank you for considering my application. I would be honored to contribute to your family’s daily life.

Kind regards,
Chuangjiabao

Experience

During my academic training in veterinary epidemiology, I developed strong observational and caregiving skills through working with live animals, many of whom required daily care, routine monitoring, and handling under stress. While not in a formal elderly care role, this experience trained me to be calm, attentive, and responsive to subtle changes—qualities that directly apply to supporting elderly individuals with dignity and sensitivity.

In addition, I worked as a private English tutor for secondary school students, helping them improve their grammar, reading comprehension, and confidence in speaking. I designed lessons tailored to each student's pace, which taught me how to build trust and support learning within the home environment.

I want to become a caregiver and tutor abroad because I believe in quiet, meaningful companionship. I find value in assisting others with their physical or intellectual needs, especially when done consistently and with care. Working abroad also allows me to engage across languages and cultures, which I consider essential to becoming a more responsible and adaptable person.

My goal is to offer stability, reliability, and respectful support to those who welcome me into their household.
