Hi there! My name is Lucy. I am a 19 year old university student living in America. Currently, I feel as though I need some time off from my studies to truly decide what I want to do, and would love to do that through becoming an Au Par. I have had the privilege of traveling overseas multiple times, and would love to experience fully a new culture through living with a host family. I believe myself to be outgoing, organized, timely, fun, adventurous, and confident. I have had the privilege of caring for children in the United States through afterschool programs as well as babysitting, and feel qualified to connect and build genuine relationships with not only the children, but your family as well! I would love to find a second family and place to call home, and I am ready to open that experience with open arms.

Experience

I have always enjoyed working with children and creating a positive, engaging environment where they feel safe and supported. I have previous experience caring for children in both informal settings and more structured environments. These experiences taught me patience, creativity, and how to adapt to the needs of children. Additionally, I want to become an au pair abroad because it’s the perfect combination of cultural exchange and meaningful work. I’m excited to learn about a new country and language, while also sharing my own culture and values with the host family. Living abroad as an au pair would help me grow personally helping develop greater independence, flexibility, and cross-cultural understanding, while also giving me the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of your family!
