Letter to the family

Dear family,

I am Marta, a 19-year-old Ukrainian. I just graduated from the music academy where I studied for four years, and I am now taking a gap year before beginning my Bachelor’s degree in music. During this year, I want to become an au pair abroad, as I see it as a perfect opportunity to discover life in another country while also sharing my creativity and energy with children.

Last year, I lived in Paris for one month since my older sister is doing her Master’s degree there at HEC Paris. I truly loved the experience, and it inspired me to try living abroad for a longer period. Being an au pair feels like the right next step for me because it allows me not only to discover a new culture but also to feel part of a family.

I believe I would be a great fit for your family. I am an easy-going and open-minded person, always ready to support new ideas and activities. At the same time, I am responsible and committed. I stick to what I say and can be trusted with important tasks. I also love to bring fun and creativity into everyday life: I can sing and even create a little play or performance together with your children. I could also teach them to do makeup inspired by their favorite cartoon characters!

My experience with children comes both from my music academy, where I had the chance to teach singing to kids, and from spending time with my two little cousins (aged 1 and 4), with whom I often play and entertain. These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to connect with children of different ages.

Besides singing, I enjoy K-pop music, makeup art, reading manhwa (Korean comics), and even cyber sports. I am a big fan of the Navi team. I also like playing badminton with friends from time to time. After my au pair stay, I plan to begin my Bachelor’s degree in music, but before that, I want to dedicate this special year to living abroad, speaking more English, and discovering myself further.

I hope to become not just an au pair, but a caring and inspiring big sister to your children. I would be very happy to share this experience with your family.

Experience

During my years at the music academy, I had a chance to work
with kids and teach them to sing. Besides, I have two small cousins (1 and 4 years old) with whom I spend time and entertain. An Au Pair for me is an amazing chance to experience life in a different country and bond with locals as a family. I also want to speak more English and take a break from studies to better know what I want to do next.
