Saydri (21 / Ms. ), Venezuelan, living in Germany looking for Au Pair job in Austria & Luxembourg for 1-12 Months

The past few years have been full of experiences with children. In 2020, I often took care of my younger sister or cousins, looking after them for a few hours, sometimes in the mornings and other times in the afternoons, and sometimes almost all day until their parents arrived. Then, in 2022, I was the au pair of a beautiful 4-year-old girl. We had our daily routine: I would take her to kindergarten in the morning, pick her up, we would eat together, go to the park, the zoo, the pool, have ice cream, go to ballet, then she wanted to switch to karate, and finally to gymnastics. Of course, there was never a shortage of playtime; we did crafts or painted, played with Barbies, princesses and queens, sisters, at the spa, at the restaurant, she loves horses so we also played horse riding teacher and student, and many more; in addition to board games in which she was quite good, she often beat me, she is very intelligent for her young age. And when she was sick, we naturally stayed at home. It was a year full of diverse experiences.

Then, from 2023 to the present, I had the opportunity to work as a volunteer in a kindergarten. In our Kiga group, we take care of 25 children (and then there's the Krippe, where there are 15, and in the Hort, there are 10 children). We usually follow the same routine: breakfast, morning circle (sometimes birthday or toy circle), lunch, snack, outings to nearby parks or sometimes to more distant places to show them other places. With them, it's never boring, and there are many ideas for activities like crafts, games, books, dances, and songs. Of course, we also support them in their daily lives as they grow and learn many things on their own. The months pass quickly, and they learn a lot before going to school. Last July, we said goodbye to the 8 who were already supposed to go to school, and I cried a lot that day. It was a very emotional day. This July, I will say goodbye to even more children, and I already know that I will shed more tears. But I carry them all in my heart and have many wonderful memories. These years have been incredible, and although there are tougher moments than others, I would live them again if I could, without hesitation ❤️
The reason I want to be an Au Pair again is because I really enjoy this program, which allows me to continue discovering new places, cultures, and learning more about different languages while doing something so beautiful that I enjoy and have experience in. I want to become a friend who can care for and accompany the children during this vital stage of their lives and in their development, which is childhood. I want them to perceive me as a sister, a friend, or a companion who can show them a bit of the cultural diversity that fills this world.

As I mentioned before, my experience as an Au Pair was truly wonderful. I was fortunate to live with a family full of good and kind people and also to acquire many experiences that I never imagined I could live.
