Lisa (19 / Ms. ), Danish, Student - High School living in Denmark looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in Canada & Ireland for 10-12 Months

Dear future host family

My name is Lisa Nørgaard . I am 19 years old, and I’ve just graduated from my High School.
Right now, I’m having my gap year, and it has in more than a year now been a dream of mine to get to be an au pair abroad.

I am currently working in a kindergarten/day nursery, to get some experience with taking care of children, to obtain my dream of being an au pair abroad. Here I work as a temporary kindergarten teacher, and I have really loved it so far, here I take care of children from the age of 1-6 years.

I am a big family-person and I love to spend time with my family, both with boardgames, celebrations and movie nights. Besides being a big family person, I really love to be creative and read books. I have also done family Taekwondo for 3 years which I really enjoyed because of the nice people on my team, but also because of the close-knit community we had with both kids, people at my age, and adults.
This feeling of community is something that I really like, and why I was a part of the musical and two committees, at my gymnasium/High School - which planned activities for the students after school and focused on sustainable solutions.

I haven’t had much experience with being an au pair or childcare, before my job at the kindergarten, unfortunately - but at my job working at the local library/school library for five years, children often came by. Here I’ve had a lot of children coming in and asking for help which I really enjoyed, because of their happiness, excitement, and big smiles. I love that every one of them is their own.

I took a Cambridge class at the 10th grade school I went to, which means that I have a high level of English and love to speak the language. In school I’ve always been very hardworking and aimed for doing my best every time. I will love to help with the kids’ homework and teach them what I know.

I’m used to doing household chores, and I’m a very patient.
I will do my absolute best to be a good au pair, and to fit into your family and your everyday life.
