My name is Ilse, and I’m a caring, adventurous, and responsible young woman from South Africa with a big heart for children and cultural exchange. I love the outdoors, discovering new places, and learning about different ways of life—values I believe are at the heart of being an Au Pair.

I want to become an Au Pair because I see it as a meaningful opportunity to combine two things I’m truly passionate about: working with children and experiencing life in a new country. I have already completed an 11-month Au Pair experience in the Netherlands, which taught me so much about independence, patience, and the joys and challenges of caring for children in a family environment. It was a rewarding journey that confirmed to me how much I enjoy being part of a child’s daily life and development.
