Letter to the family

Hiya!

It’s so nice to meet you, I can’t wait to get involved with your family and experience new and exciting opportunities with you and your child/ren! My name is Leah , I am twenty one and I live in the uk, England more specifically! I’ve always had a strong passion for taking care of children and I can’t wait to have my own one day! Ever since I was young, I’ve dreamt of moving to another country and living my best life doing a job I love and making lots of memories. I would love to become an au pair because I have an ongoing passion for taking care of children and helping them develop and grow as people. I have completed 2 years in early year’s education and am level 2 qualified but most importantly, I am very confident in looking after children.

Whilst working in childcare, I have completed various other courses to expand my knowledge of the early years and thrive as a professional. Such courses include: extensive paediatric first aid training, autism and adhd in young children and teens, English as an additional language and more. I am more than happy to participate in any further courses you may want or require.

I did very well at school, mainly getting a’s and b’s in my GCSEs and I have very good general knowledge and common sense, I am also a very quick learner and would love to pick up an additional language if you’re happy to teach me a little! I am a very strong swimmer, and although I can’t drive just yet, I am very happy and confident using public transport or even walking/ cycling. I would say I am an extremely caring and loving person with lots of love (and cuddles) to give to the children I look after. I love cooking so would be more than happy to help on days where you need a rest or just fancy something different ! I have extensive experience and knowledge in cooking and got an a* in for food and nutrition in school, I use these skills every day! If you need any extra help around the house with cleaning and general chores, I would also be happy to help with this!

I am extremely hardworking and responsible and always punctual. I think all of these skills are important of course, but I would say that skills such as empathy, kindness and patience will always come first. All of which I am, I am extremely empathetic towards everyone and I’m a great problem solver in difficult situations too, I know how to diffuse challenging situations with patience and kindness. I love to get involved in all kinds of activities, cooking, arts and crafts, helping with extracurricular activities, going on adventures, and most importantly, catering to YOUR child’s needs. I think you should consider my application as an AU Pair for all of these reasons and more!!

Thank you for getting to know me, and I can’t wait to get to know you soon!
