My name is Phanice wambu, and I am writing to express my interest in becoming your Au Pair & Nanny. I am 26 years old and originally from Kenya but I am in Austria currently as an Aupair. I come from a loving and supportive family, and I have always had a deep appreciation for children and the important role that care and guidance play in their growth and happiness.

I have chosen to become an Au Pair & Nanny because I genuinely enjoy working with children and believe that this experience is a meaningful way to immerse myself in a new culture while contributing positively to a family's daily life. Being part of a child’s development—helping them learn, laugh, and grow—is something I find incredibly rewarding. I also see this opportunity as a chance for personal growth, language improvement, and cultural exchange, which I highly value.

Experience

During my time in Austria as a live-in au pair and later a full-time nanny for a family with three children (ages 10,8 and 8), I was responsible for a wide range of duties, including childcare, educational support, and light household tasks. This role gave me the opportunity to develop strong bonds with the children and support their emotional and developmental needs in a safe, nurturing environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Planned and supervised daily routines, including school drop-offs/pick-ups, meals, naps, and playtime.
* Organized creative activities, crafts, and outdoor play to support development and keep the children engaged.

* Maintained a tidy and child-friendly household environment, handled laundry and meal prep for the children.
* Communicated regularly with the parents to ensure consistent care and aligned expectations.

**Skills Developed:**

* Patience, empathy, and adaptability in fast-changing situations.
* Time management and multitasking across the needs of children of different ages.
* Cultural exchange and open-mindedness, as the role included introducing elements of my own culture and language to the children.
