Laura (22 / Ms. ), Australian & German, Artist living in Australia looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Japan & Malta for 1-6 Months

Hi Host Family! Nice to meet you, I am Laura. I have been working and volunteering with children since I was 14 years old. I have experience working for German families, have more than 3 years experience as a volunteer teacher's aide at a small German School in my town. My most favourable experience a this school was teaching the kids mindfulness and yoga using sea animal inspired poses - and enjoyed it just as much as I did :) . I have previously studied education at University for one year before deciding teaching in the classroom just isn't my calling. I took a break and studied as a meditation teacher in Byron Bay to integrate into my work as a nanny. Since working an office job for over 6 months now I've decided I want to get back into my love of working with and teaching children. My most recent experience of working in childcare was abroad in Japan for a 5 year old girl with a disability for a month in January 2023. I am currently studying to become a Graphic Designer and look to complete my studies as a Yoga Teacher for children. My professional achievements include publishing and illustrating a book for children about mental health, self love and compassion called "The Tree Who Lost Her Glow", hosting a successful book launch and teaching using my own worksheets and an interview for the illustraton work I completed as an artist for a local homeless charity.
