My name is Harmandeep, and I am a student from Pathankot, India. I come from a caring and supportive family, and I have gained valuable experience looking after my cousin’s children (ages 1 and 5). I supported them with feeding, hygiene, playtime, naps, and early learning, as well as emotional care to keep them happy and safe. Alongside childcare, I also help at home with light household tasks such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning, and I have experience caring for pets, especially dogs. These experiences have taught me patience, responsibility, and how to create a loving environment for children.

I would love to become an au pair or nanny because I enjoy being around children and supporting families in their daily life. Experience

My Experience as an Au Pair / Nanny
Although I have not yet worked as an official au pair, I have practical childcare experience that has prepared me for the role. I have cared for my cousin’s children, ages 1 and 5, where I was responsible for feeding, bathing, preparing them for naps, and keeping them engaged with play, stories, and learning activities. These daily responsibilities gave me confidence in looking after children of different ages, understanding their needs, and supporting their emotional well-being. In addition, I regularly assist with household duties such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and pet care, which makes me comfortable balancing childcare with family routines.
And rest about why would i like to become au pair & nanny abroad:
I would like to become an au pair abroad because it is a chance to combine my love for children with the opportunity to live in another culture. For me, childcare is not only about keeping children safe, but also about helping them grow, learn, and feel supported. Living with a host family means I can be more than a helper—I can be part of the family, share in their daily life, and create meaningful relationships. At the same time, this experience allows me to learn new traditions, improve my skills, and grow as a person. I see being an au pair not just as a job, but as a way to create a true cultural exchange where both the family and I benefit.
