Hello, host families!
My name is Karlie. I am 20 years old and ready to experience the culture & joys the world has to offer, while doing the thing I love the most, caring for children!
I would love to be an Au Pair for the experience and challenge. I have always dreamed of working as an Au Pair and want to experience life to its fullest. I hope to exchange our knowledge and build a healthy and comfortable bond.
I approach childcare with the goals of being patient, nurturing, attentive, & having open communication with parents. I always try to find ways to give the children I care for a stimulating environment, where we’re exploring our creative sides, spending a large portion of our day outdoors, & focusing on the 5 key areas of child development. I will show up for your children everyday in a bright mood & find happiness in even the small tasks. Growing up in a large family, I have always been in an environment full of the joy, chaos, and beauty that comes with a house full of children!
I have around 7 years of experience babysitting & nannying while also doing tasks like light house keeping, organizing, & errands. I understand the importance of finding someone that will fit in comfortably with your family, so I would love to chat & look forward to getting to know each other :)

Experience

I began babysitting when I was 12 years old and would often watch neighbors children, family friends, & help out my siblings with their children as well. I progressed into nannying at the beginning of 2022 & have worked with 3 families since. My experience includes:

- 1 year of Highschool Early Childhood Education
- 1 year of Highschool Advanced Early Childhood Education
- Caring for over 5 children at once
- Caring for children ages 3 months - 12 years old
- Caring for twins
- Caring for children with special needs (ASD)
- Caring for children with health issues (Seizures, Asthma, Strep, Colds)
- Caring for children with special dietary requirements
- Vacationing with families
- Living long term with a child (over 4 years & ongoing)

My overall experience as a nanny has been the most amazing and rewarding journey. I would not want to do anything else for work, it is truly my passion and what I am best at! Au pairing would give me an opportunity for more independence & of course the cultural exchange would be life changing. Au pairing feels like the perfect next step in my journey!
