Katie (22 / Ms. ), British & Irish, Retail living in United Kingdom looking for Au Pair job in Australia, Canada, USA & United Kingdom for 3-24 Months

Hello potential family!

My name is Katie, I am 22 years old. I am from Northern Ireland but currently live in Scotland with my family.

My reasoning for wanting to become an Au Pair is due to the fact that I have spent the last few years of my life pondering my career and where I wish to see myself in the next few years and I keep coming up blank. I unfortunately haven’t had the travel experience my younger self wished for due to unforeseen events such as covid.

I believe that you should host me as I feel like I would make a great addition with your family. Having grown up in a massive family who are all very close I find it so easy to bond and make connections with people. Being one of the eldest cousins I’ve always taken on that role to help look after and babysit. Family means a lot to me and I love working with children, I have not had the chance to work in a professional setting with children but believe with many years of looking after family I feel as though it comes naturally to me.

I believe children are so important and that to be a part of helping them grow and watching them develop and seeing what children can teach us is so special. I have experience also working with children who have non-verbal autism as well as OCD and ADHD. They have shown me so much already that I can appreciate the little things with them. They have also given me the patience and understanding in that every child excels differently and learns at a different pace.
