Letter to the family

Hello! My name is Julian. I'm currently 24, from Los Angeles, California, USA. My whole life I've loved to travel. I first got to go abroad when my friend and I were exchange students in Seoul, South Korea for a few weeks. Since then, I've been lucky enough to get to see several countries and states, but I'd love to spend an extended amount of time abroad!

I got my degree in Documentary Filmmaking and have worked creating videos for several companies, but I've recently decided that I want to change my career. I'm not sure quite what I want to do yet - but I do know that I want to travel, and this would be a great opportunity! I've always enjoyed working with kids. I've volunteered to teach musical theater to children, worked at a hotel creating activities for children and families, and have worked as a camp counselor as well. It's always very rewarding for me and a fun time. Plus, I really enjoy learning new things and teaching others. It'd be great to teach English and explain what American culture is like to your family.

Experience

Though I've never worked directly as an Au Pair or Nanny, I have plenty of child care experience. I've worked as an Activities Associate at a timeshare hotel, where I would entertain children and families throughout the day. It was an extremely fun job - I was able to create memories for families on vacation, and get to play games while doing it! I've also worked at a family fun center, and volunteered with churches and schools. I've been a Summer Camp Counselor, where I was in charge of a group of elementary school children, and taught musical theater to kids as well.
