Letter to the family

Hello, my name is Rachel! I am finishing up my masters program in social work, and will be graduating next month! As I reflect on graduating, I have been thinking a lot about my career path. I want to pursue a career that I am proud of, gain fulfillment from, and brings me joy. Before I embark on my full time employment, I want to do as much traveling as possible! I love working with children and love traveling, so an Au Pair position is the best of both worlds! I love spending time with children, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures.

Experience

I have worked in the childcare field for over 10 years. I have babysat for numerous families with children ages ranging from newborn to adults. I have a bachelors (and soon to be masters) degree in social work, and absolutely love the profession! During my time between undergrad and graduate school I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), meaning I worked with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. I worked as an RBT in a clinical and school setting and worked with a variety of ages. Working with children with ASD is something I quickly fell in love with and want to continue pursing. I want to become and Au Pair because working with children is my passion and it is my goal to create a space where each child feels safe, loved, and supported!
