Letter to the family

Hi! My name is Giulia and I’m an 18 year old girl from Bergamo, Italy. My first language is Italian, but I am also a certified C1 in english and I also speak French and German at a basic level. I have traveled a lot in Europe, both with family and friends and by myself, I can easily adapt to cultures and lifestyles which are different from mine. I am also a licensed lifeguard and I’ve worked at a local pool for the past two summers, so this will not be my first job experience. I think that working as an au pair can be a perfect opportunity to get out of my comfort zone, test myself and make new experiences while also learning!
I’ve been living in a very small town my entire life, and I think being an au pair can be the perfect opportunity to have a change of scenery and stop my repetitive routine which I’m tired of.

Experience

During my first, second and third year of high school each summer I volunteered as an animator for kids at the summer camp my town organizes every summer. Each year I took care of kids with different age range, from 6 to 14 years old, for 4 weeks. My job was to make activities and games for their afternoon and looking after them during the weekly field trip, which was either a day in the mountains or a day at the water park. Also, at my previous summer job as a lifeguard, the pool where I was working had a sort of summer camp, with kids aged from 4 to 12 years old, and it was my job to look after them while they were playing in the water. However, apart from this experiences, I have never worked as a professional babysitter.
