Dear future host family,

My name is Mavis Lizned Jiménez, I’m 20 years old and I come from Ecuador. I consider myself a warm, respectful, and curious person. I deeply enjoy learning about different cultures and also sharing mine. That’s one of the main reasons why I want to become an Au Pair — because it’s not just about childcare, it’s a cultural exchange where we both grow.

I would love to teach Spanish to your children and speak with them in my native language, while also learning from your way of life and traditions. I believe this is a beautiful way to connect through respect, values, and daily life.

What inspires me the most about this experience is that it allows me to do two of the things I love the most at the same time: traveling and learning about new cultures, while also helping children grow and passing on the good values my parents taught me — kindness, honesty, empathy, and responsibility.

Experience

I haven’t worked as an official Au Pair yet, but I do have experience taking care of children in my own family and close circle. I’ve helped care for younger cousins and neighbors’ children, supporting with their daily routines, playing with them, helping with homework, and teaching them in a loving, patient way.

I would love to become an Au Pair abroad because I believe it’s a unique opportunity to combine my passion for working with kids and my love for cultural exchange. I want to be part of a family where I can help, learn, and grow — and where I can also share my culture, language (Spanish), and values.

Living abroad as an Au Pair would allow me to gain life experience, improve my language skills, and build meaningful relationships while doing something truly meaningful: helping raise the next generation with love and respect.
