Hello!

My name is Ava. I live in Toronto, Canada, as a freelance designer, and I'm looking to experience a new environment and connect with families! I've lived in Toronto for my whole life, with ties to small-town living in Northern Ontario, where I learned the unique balance of stillness and vibrancy. I value family and always regard their support and love as one of the most important things! I have a younger sister with whom I am super close, along with both my parents. My dad, who works in the art world, gave me to space to foster my interest in the field at a young age. He took me to museums, art classes, and when we travelled, he taught me how to view spaces differently.

I've been a nanny for 7 years with 2.5 years of newborn experience. My duties related to childcare have included pick-ups/drop-offs and providing care while the parents are away, completing daily assigned tasks, housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, laundry, bedtime routines, and home organization. I've learned time management and multitasking skills, and have built meaningful relationships with all the families I’ve worked for.

I love working with children; I find there is a certain honesty and perspective they give. I value connection and learning from others, and I've found working with kids has brought me understanding of what it means to be happy. I hope to learn and grow with new experiences and spend time travelling and seeing the world!
