Dear Host Family,

My name is Sthembiso, I'm a warm, adaptable, and optimistic young woman from South Africa, currently living in the United States as an au pair. I'm 24 years old, and over the past months, I've already grown so much through the experience of living abroad, caring for children, and stepping into to cultures and with that I continue to grow. I come from a close knit family and a diverse country, so I've always had a deep appreciation for connection, learning, and people from all walks of life.

Experience

Being an au pair has allowed to do what I love most and believe I'm good at, working with children while also exploring the world and seeing how different families and people in general live. I love being an au pair in the U.S. and I'm excited to continue this journey in a new country. I want to be able to experience new cultures, improve my language skills, and become a part of another family who's open to cultural exchange, laughter and growth.
Being an au pair has taught me that this role is more than childcare, its about being present, supportive, and respectful of the life a family has built.
