Letter to the family

My name is Helena, I’m 22 years old, and I’m from Vilafranca del Penedès, a lovely town just 30 minutes from Barcelona. I’m a very caring, attentive, and family-oriented person with a great sense of humour. I love staying positive, being active, and creating a fun and warm environment around me.

I’ve been working with children since I was 14 years old, as a babysitter and private tutor, which has taught me to be patient, responsible, and empathetic. For the past two years, I’ve also been taking care of a little girl who is now 5 years old, since she was just 1. I look after her every weekend from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., taking care of everything from preparing her meals and changing her, to playing and guiding her through her daily routines. This experience has given me lots of hands-on practice with toddlers and has allowed me to build a very close and loving bond with her.

Since the age of 16, I’ve worked as a summer camp monitor at ENGLISH SUMMER SA, and I’m currently the activity coordinator and head of monitors. These roles have given me the chance to plan creative games, workshops, and activities, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with children of all ages in a fun and educational environment.

I recently graduated with a degree in TOURISM, and now I’m looking forward to becoming an au pair to improve my English and speak it fluently, while discovering a new culture and supporting a lovely family in their everyday life.

I’m responsible, creative, and always eager to help, and I adapt easily to new situations. I love getting involved, organising activities, and building a strong and trusting bond with children.
