Letter to the family

Hello, my name is Elena, I‘m 21 years old and I live in Wuppertal, a city in Germany. I have two siblings, a younger sister and an older brother.
In my freetime I like to play Volleyball, spend time with my friends, read a book or watch a movie.
At the moment I study at the University of Wuppertal to become a teacher for elementary school. My subjects will be German, Maths and English. I plan to write my senior thesis next year and be finished until the end of June.
I already work at the childcare of an elementary school, where children at the age of 6 to 10 can do their homework, eat and play after school, before they get picked up by their parents in the afternoon.

Experience

Due to the fact that one of my study subjects is English, in Germany one is supposed to spend at least 3 months in a country, where the first language is English, before doing the master‘s degree. I think this is a great chance to spend time abroad and collect memories and experience, before starting the life as a full-time teacher.
I really like working with children which is also why I would like to use those three months to work as an Au-Pair and on the one hand help a family cope with their day-to-day life and on the other hand gain experience in working with children in general for my future job.
