Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello reader, we are a welcoming family of four; mom, dad and two children. We are an English speaking family having a home in the Alicante region of Spain and in the UK which we would cover any travel to.

We are looking for a compassionate, kind hearted, flexible person who can help with our two children, one having additional needs from a brain injury and the other is very playful and fun. Both have great personalities and very good natured.

We require a person who has strong emotional intelligence, a high level of hygiene, positive energy, proactive and is engaging to the children.

Job Description

We spend our time between the UK and Spain. Any expenses travelling with the family will be covered by us.

Our daughter is 12. She REALLY enjoys gaming, and card games, she also still plays with barbie dolls and she enjoys anything outdoors. She is full of energy and has a wonderful temperament; funny and adventurous and doesn’t take herself too seriously. She will do her homework and chores but does need encouragement. Your role would be to help her with homework and support her in doing her chores, playing with her and organise activities. We are looking for someone who is creative in engaging with her to entice her away from the screens which if left to her own devices would occupy a lot of her time lol.

Our son is 10 and is extremely cute. He has a brain injury and needs help with all personal care, he is non-verbal and non-mobile so our house has some adaptions to meet his needs. He enjoys massages, stretches, sensory play and listening to stories, he also likes being taken on walks. Your role will be to do sensory play, go for walks, massage, exercises and some personal care. No previous experience is necessary, we will help you learn how to do this. However this part of the role will feel part carer.

- Hours will be around 35 per week
- 1.5 days off per week
