Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair,

We are a family with 4 Kids and are looking for a friendly and open minded person to share the opportunity to engage in a meaningful cultural exchange and to become an integral part of our family.

Our kids are between 10 and 2 years old. Three boys and a girl.

We live in the countryside in South Germany. Our Community has roundabout 3000 inhabitants. We are surrounded by wonderful nature (national park) and so we spend a lot of time together in the summertime with biking and in the winter with skiing.

Because Johannes (Father) has a lot of work in his GP`s office, do I Caroline (Mother) really need your help at home with the Children.

The big kids have to do their homework and study and are always getting disturbed and distracted by the younger ones. So keeping them busy by painting pictures, jumping on the trampoline, riding a bike, playing in the garden or swimming in the pool etc. will be one of your daily routines :)

The big kids are driven to their Hobbies (Soccer, Ballet, Gymnastics, Tennis etc.) several times a week. We need your support there as well.

Our region in south Germany has a thousands years old culture. We are surrounded by many castles. Our Region is known for its good cuisine. There are a lot of Festivals in the Summer and Snow and Christmas-Markets in the Winter. The time of the carneval with its masks and disguises is also wonderful and very special here. You will have lots of fun!

Job Description

The house is getting cleaned by our cleaning-lady. She is helping several times a week, so your job will be to assist with our children's daily routines, including morning preparations, school drop-offs and pick-ups, meal preparation, homework help, and engaging in educational and recreational activities. You should be a fairly good swimmer to play with the children in our indoor pool. Your responsibilities will also include light household chores related to the children.
Living in the countryside, we hope you will join in and help organize outdoor play, mountainbike tours, excursions, and other activities. Soccer in the summer and skiing in winter will be a part of your life.

Accommodation

We live in a house in the Countryside. Every child has its own room.

You will have your own room and your own bathroom.

Our internet, Netflix etc. will of course shared with you as our new family member. You will have your own mountain-bike.

You can come with us on our summer and winter vacation (Sea, Mountains, Skiresorts..) if you want.
