Welcome Letter to the Au Pair
The position being offered is an elder caregiver position. My Mother is 87 years old and has lived independently for 14 years. Up until a recent issue with her vision, she was driving, preparing her own meals, laundry, shopping, etc.
The candidate will provide mobility support, support to take medications, support where required with hygiene, light general housekeeping, laundry, cooking.
The position is:
- live in private accommodations
- meals
- 30 hours per week/6 days per week
- salary $500/week includes room and board
Job Description
The position is 6 days per week. Sunday off. It is expected, as a live-in position which includes room and board, that the candidate will be in the home overnight to ensure safety in the home for the elder person overnight. It is not expected that there will be any care required overnight as the elder is still quite independent, is mentally sound and sleeps well.
