Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi! We are a young family based in the german-speaking canton of Zug, Switzerland, looking for an experienced Au Pair/nanny to help us with day-to-day life and to occasionally take care of our son who is one and a half. Our family is English and French-speaking, each of us immigrated to Switzerland at a young age, myself from Eastern Europe and my husband from South Asia, and made Switzerland our home. We are well-versed in Swiss culture and wouldn't mind showing you around. The town where we live is neighbouring the canton of Zurich and it takes about 20 minutes to reach the city of Zurich by car (35 by train). The nearest smaller city is Zug, which is only a short bus ride away. There are several language schools around which offer classes in all Swiss national languages. English is widely spoken in our part of Switzerland. We live in a spacious apartment conveniently located near all the major facilities (shopping, train station, bus stop, bakery, our son's daycare).

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced nanny/Au Pair who has a minimum of 200+ hours, a first-aid certificate and is good with kids. Ideally, you have experience with the toddler age-group. You are honest, reliable and willing to help around the home. Besides childcare, we would expect you to take on some household tasks, such as general cleaning, folding and ironing, cooking, and making errands.
