Au Pair in Spain - At a Glance

  • Age: 18 - 30 years old
  • Length of stay: 3 - 12 Months 
  • Working hours: 30 hours per week
  • Holiday: 2 weeks holiday for a period of 12 months. Also, the Au Pair has at least one day off per week; this day should be a Sunday once a month.  
  • Traveling expenses: The Au Pair must pay for his / her own travel expenses. The Family is welcome to assist with expenses, but we recommend that the families do so only if the Au Pair has successfully lived some time with them.  
  • Insurance: The Au Pair must be registered with the National Health Service and Social Services ("Social Security”) Au Pairs from EU countries will need to apply for the European Health Insurance Card. Further information on Contract and insurance.
  • Pocket money: 210 - 280 € per month.  
  • Visa requirements: EU-citizens only need a valid ID/passport in order to become an Au Pair in Spain
