My journey with childcare began with 14, when I read books to kindergardeners for a hour each week.
Starting at the age of 15, I began to volunteer to work with confirmees in my community church as a “Teamer”, an experience that teached me how fun it is to work with and support youngsters. My responsibility there is to instruct games such as mime, photo-challenges, as well do groupwork about Love or Community.
In summer 2021, I went to my first camp with the city's youth parish office, engaging in a week full of projects, singing and going swimming in the nearby lake. Since then, I've regularly participated in camps and weekend trips, where my role involves overseeing the teens and working on group projects with them. It always brings me joy when former confirmees become “Teamers” themselves and I get to work with them.
Given the age gap with my brother Jacob, from early on I found myself taking on to look after him, whether it's bringing him to his leisure activities or help him with schoolwork.

Why do I wanna become an AuPair?
Through my experiences working with children, I've discovered the joy it brings me to look after kids and help them with struggles they may have. Additionally to that, I wanna see the world, so I aspire to become an Au Pair and be able to get a closer look into other cultures. I hope living with a host family allows me to experience special traditions and holidays firsthand.
