Dear host family,

I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.

My name is Jirah, but my friends and family call me Hannah. I am a 26 years old, girl and I live in Tagum City, a first class component city in Davao del Norte, Philippines.

I am an open-minded, hard-working, easy-going, dedicated, trustworthy, helpful, patient, and responsible person. I love taking care of kids and their health, safety, and happiness are the most important to me.

I come from a small family of 3. I am an only child, longing to have a sibling to take care of and share a bond with. That's why I share a close bond with my cousins and my cousin's children, we see each other a lot. I got to babysit them, read books for them, play with them and teaching them new things to learn. I am part of a very close family, and as a result my close inner circle of friend is also often viewed as ‘family’. I cherish and value my friendships; choosing to surround myself with loyal and fun people.

I graduated from the University of Southeastern Philippines, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture major in Animal Science Studies. I love traveling, learning new languages and different cultures, meeting new people, and definitely making memories. My very calm, collected, patient, and quick learning always comes in handy when dealing with challenging situations.

I would describe my strength as an Aupair as the ability to bond really well with kids and also blending in very easily and as a result being able to be their mentor in different aspects of life and also be like their big sister, also the ability to learn from my mistakes. On the other hand, I would describe my weakness as an Aupair is that I have a hard time letting go of something or someone because I get too attached to children especially and hence becomes emotionally hard to detach from them.

I am searching for a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and who are willing to learn new culture and language. I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one year or more depending on the connection formed with the family.
