Dear host family
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter.
My name is Daniela and I am 18 years old. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela.
I currently live with my mother, my dog and my twin sister, a curious fact: we are nothing alike and we are very independent people.
I graduated from high school in July 2022 and in my free time I like to paint, cook and take cooking lessons. I also love spending time with my friends and family and I also love to read. My favorite books are “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee and “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett.
One of the things I like to do the most is help people, what I mean by this is that I love doing social action programs and I have volunteered a couple of times to go on missions to help other people in need in less fortunate circumstances outside my region.
I have been enjoying the children's area for a little over a year, my love for children began with a social action program that consisted of helping and caring for them and also contributing to a clothing donation campaign. On this trip I had the greatest responsibility and that was being in charge of the children while my friends took care of their parents and other areas. In this job I made sure that the children had fun, we played and even painted faces.
What I like most about them is how active they are, how resourceful and intelligent they are. I like how kind and affectionate children of this age are.
I want to be an au pair to live the experience of working full time with children since I like them a lot. I am also very excited to be living with a Host Family that will help me get to know the culture since it is something that really interests me. I also have other reasons to be an Au Pair, one of them is to get out of my comfort zone, I want to meet new people, new people from different cultures, and I also want to be more independent and manage my own money.
