Olivia (18 / Ms. ), Irish, Unemployed living in Ireland looking for Au Pair job in Austria, Germany & Switzerland for 3-10 Months

My name is Olivia. I am 18 years old. I am Irish. I have a passion for learning languages and travel. I am currently studying for my leaving cert (It is the Irish Abitur or A-levels). I have been learning German for the past 6 years. In 2nd year (2019) I went on a week-long exchange to Germany. I was staying in Rhineland-Palatinate. I fell madly in love with Germany. In 2021 I lived with a host family for 5 months on exchange. This was the greatest experience of my life. I have so many friends in Germany. I loved travelling around Germany with my Host family. I have seen parts of Bavaria and Berlin. I plan to return to Germany to visit friends this August. I also have family in Switzerland so I have spent some time in Zurich.
My love for the German language and culture pushed me to search for ways to keep learning after school. My vice-principle from my School in Germany suggested I apply to become an Au-pair. I would absolutely love the opportunity to return to Germany and I feel this would be a great way to do so.
I also have experience working with kids as a childminder and I have considered working in primary education. I completed my 5th Year (2023) work experience in my local primary school. I really enjoyed assisting the teachers. I spent a lot of time working with special needs kids, helping them with reading and other tasks during class time.
I feel I would be very suited to become an Au Pair. This will not be my first time away from home so there will be less adjustment from me on that front. I am very fond of kids and would be delighted to work with them. I also am eager to continue learning and broadening my horizons.
