Silvani (33 / Ms. ), Brazilian, Physiotherapist living in Portugal looking for Nanny & Caregiver for elderly job in Canada, Spain, USA, United Kingdom & Switzerland for 6-20 Months

Dear Host Family:

My name is Silvani Romão. I was born in the state of Acre  near the Amazon in Brazil. I currently live with my cousin and her daughters in Europe, Spain in a province near Valencia, a beautiful city. I have a brother, his name is Adenilson, younger, married and has 3 small children. We get along very well and enjoy spending time together as a family at Christmas and holidays. As I am the oldest sister, I am quite used to taking care of my nephews and as a child I used to also take care of my brother and sometimes take on the role of mother with them, but I have to admit that I really enjoy having this responsibility. Also used to caring for the elderly in clinics, I love this caring role.
It's been 10 years since I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy and 3 years since I graduated as a physical education teacher at Faculdade Anhanguera and FADBA (Brazil).
I love languages and getting to know other cultures, so I decided to also add volunteering in Peru and Bolivia to my experience working in the health sector. As I studied in Bahia, I had to leave my family. This experience helped me grow as a person and get to know myself better. Furthermore, as I shared an apartment with other students, I learned to be more patient and flexible with other people's habits and routines.
This helped me a lot when I moved to São Paulo in the 4th year of my degree in physical education to work at a natural health center and spa. From the first moment I arrived at this natural clinic I fell in love with the environment and routine, there I met people from Canada, the United States, Europe and Africa and other languages. That's why I would love to learn more about the culture and customs and the language, but now as an au pair and working. I've always liked being with children, I was a caregiver for an autistic child working at a children's school and a nanny when I was a teenager, everything they can teach us seems incredible. I love playing with them and teaching sports like football, and seeing their development and learning. That's why I chose this profession and I also like working as a caregiver and teacher. The children I looked after at school and my nephews are aged between 2 and 10 years old.
It was great to be able to earn money while doing a job I loved, but I also learned that dealing with children can sometimes be challenging. They have a lot of energy, so I was always looking for new activities to entertain them. I played a lot of games with them, took them to the park, read stories to them, but one of the activities I most enjoyed doing was exploring woods in the middle of nature with them, walking on trails and camping because I am a trailblazer.
I also have experience caring for the elderly because during my training during the Physiotherapy course I lived with a lady for almost a year and took care of her as she had Alzheimer's.
