Letter to the family

(UPDATED 2023) My name is Kiara. I am a Senior at Arizona State University studying Digital Culture; it is a blend of computer science, art and humanities. In 2021 I decided to study abroad in Italy and the experience has been truly life changing, I want to continue learning Italian and new languages as well. I will graduate on May 10th 2023! I really enjoyed taking care of the children and for my job in America today I work as a Virtual Reality Specialist we teach children about art and freedom of expression and take them on VR Field Trips, since many schools can't afford field trips in low income American communities we bring Virtual Reality Field Trip to them for free.The children love it and they learn so much. I am very dependable, responsible and respectful but I'm also fun and I'm sure we will get along very well :)

Experience

I feel in love with travel recently and I found it astonishing how easy it can be to use skills you already have to help people anywhere. I was an Au Pair in Spain where I helped two children one boy and one girl improve their English, I was only with them for two months but their English improved so much! It was an amazing experience learning about their unique culture and enjoying food I never heard of! I also have a younger sister with non-verbal autism so I am used to having to be patient and I understand the how difficult it can be and how much extra help is needed. Being able to do what I did back home abroad would mean so much to me since I will be able to learn more about a new culture and help a family.
