Letter to the family

Hi, I'm a cheerful 18-year-old Swiss girl who just graduated from high school. I’m starting university in September but before I do so I’d love to see what the world has to offer.
I believe that immersing oneself in the local culture is the most effective way to explore a new destination. Given my genuine fondness for spending time with children and teaching them all I can, I am quite sure that the role of an Au Pair or Live-in Tutor is an ideal pursuit for me.
I am a well-mannered and patient girl. I believe that the best way to teach something to a child or even a younger person is by setting a good example. I’m proficient in cooking and take my work seriously. Moreover, since I have recently completed school, everything I have learned is fresh in my mind, and I’m capable of assisting another person in acquiring this knowledge. Because of those reasons I consider myself a good Au Pair/Live-in Tutor candidate.

Experience

I have a younger brother and I have always taken care of him. When he was younger he struggled with learning to read and write which was very upsetting and frustrating for him, but although it took some time I was always there to assist and help him learn. I thoroughly enjoy reading, and having the opportunity to share my love for culture is always a great pleasure. Additionally, during the last year of school, I took care of a three-year-old daughter of my parents' friends every Saturday, as they needed assistance.
I have a strong desire to see the world, and I believe starting as an Au Pair or Live-in Tutor is the best and safest way for me.
