Hello, Host Family!

My name is Vívian, I am 30 years old and I am from Brazil! I was raised in a town in the state of Amazonas called Manaus, known for the forest Amazon and rivers (Amazon river, one of the biggest river in the world)! That’s where I used to live with my parents until January (2023).

In January (2023) I started backpacking in the South America, because I'd like to know more about my own place before visit other continents, besides that I could practice Spanish and know new people and about new cultures. During the last year I had the great oportunity to know some cities in the South of Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina while I was volunteering in diferents projects (permaculture, bioconstruction, taking care of kids, gardening, caring of animals, picking fruits etc) . My plan was visit more countries, but life gave me one of the biggest oportunity in my life: come to Europe!

I've being dreaming about come to Europe for years! I also have this profile for years, but I never could live the au pair experience for many reasons. Now that I am here in Europe, I have the feeling that it is possible and I still believe that this dream can come true. I never give up of my dreams and I won't do it now.

Experience

My first experience with kids was with my little cousin Bianka. I was 13 when she was born and since then I love to spend time with her. When she born, I was always helping my aunt to give her a bath, playing with her and singing songs to her. She was getting older, but I was still very excited to have fun together at my grandma’s house. Always playing, singing, dancing or watching movies.

When I was in High school I was part of a volunteer program that would help small kids with their theater and dance skills. They were from families that could'd spend time with them on Saturdays, so we were responsible for staying and taking care of them the whole day.

Also, few years ago I was part of a volunteer group in a small community. I spent my time there playing with kids from 4 to 11 years old. We were playing games, singing songs and practice some dancing. It was an awesome experience.

When I graduated, I started teaching kids and teenagers. I used to teach Portuguese for teenagers (12- 15 years old) and English for little kids (2 - 11 years old).

During my backpacking, I also had the oportunity to taking care of kids, helping them to do their homework and also prepare some food and play with them.
