Letter to the family

Hi I'm Naima I'm a masters student and recently graduate of Nottingham Trent University and I would love to become an Au Pair or work within that realm. I studied Mandarin Chinese and TESOL for my BA gaining a 2:1 degree and would say I can speak at about intermediate level Mandarin. My masters is also currently in TESOL but as my classes finish early in late April I can start work shortly thereafter.

I've had experience teaching my younger brother who has both Autism and Global Development Delay, don't mind getting my hands dirty with childcare at all! Kids are wonderful whether they're in need of a little extra help or otherwise.

Experience

Whilst I haven't had professional working experience yet I believe my personal experience can help out a little.

I've been the secondary caregiver to my younger brother for the last nine years who's both autistic and has developmental delay. I've learnt how to cook safe foods for him, how to calm him down when he's feeling very big emotions etc and I've recently had him reading at the 12-13 again range which is far beyond other kids his age (he is 9).

I love taking care of children, and my time in university makes me want to teach kids even more. To be the awesome shining light for the younger generation.
