Mary sharon (25 / Ms. ), Kenyan, living in Kenya looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in Denmark, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, France & Spain for 2-24 Months

Hello dear host family,

I am already excited about getting to know you. But first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.
My name is Sharon . I’m a 24 years old girl from a small town called Busia in Kenya. I speak fluent English and Swahili which is my native language and basic French. My family consists of my parents, Stephen (47) who is my dad and Emily (41) who is my mum. I have four siblings, my sisters stella (21), marion (8), precious (5) and my brother Ian (3).

I live in a house located in an area full of nature. We have a dog who we love to cuddle all day. My father works as a business man and my mother is a housewife. I have a very large family, which also includes my 8 cousins.
I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person, who tries to make the best out of every situation, like spending time with my friends who are as well as my family, always trying to help, I am always there if am needed.

In my free time, I like to:
Go for nature walks
Make and try different dishes
Ride bikes
Swimming
Socializing
Sporting activities
Go shopping
Watching animations /cartoons
Reading a good book

At the moment, I work as a volunteer teacher. I enjoy this job very much because I am able to bond with kids. 5 years ago, after finishing my high school I started working as a nanny where I was working for an amazing family. This gave me exposure on working with kids and being able to take care of them.

Then since the beginning of 2022 to October 2022,I worked as a child carer in a daycare where, I take care of infants/babies and toddlers.

I became very close to them and cherish every moment with them. I also take care of my younger siblings as a firstborn, when our parents are away . Through this time, I have found out how much fun it is to have children around, I can’t imagine my life without them.

As a nanny, I would normally:
Take/pick kids from school
Make the kids room
Prepare meals for the kids
Play with the kids
Help the kids with their homework
Come up with creative activities for the kids
Do any light household chores
Babysitting
Taking care of pets

Thanks to my employer mum who took me through a first aid course where I got the skills of first aid basic for pediatric and caregiving basically in CPR and basic life support. I'm first aid certified.

The reason why I want to aupair is because I want to get to know the European way of life as well as different cultures. Most importantly, it would be a great chance to spend the entire year taking care of children. And of course, it would be great to improve my knowledge and skills in many cultures which is also my career path in child care as well it is a course that I want to enroll when I come back home after my aupair year.
