Letter to the family

Salut! My name is Jessica and I'm a 23 years old female who just finished my Bachelor's degree in Global Studies, Politics, Law, and French Studies. Born in the USA, I attended university in New York City and studied abroad for two years in Paris, France. Both of my parents are Romanian natives so not only do I have dual Romanian/US citizenship but I have spent much of my life living and traveling between Eastern Europe and Western Europe which gives me plenty of experience with different languages. In order to save up for a Master's program in France, I am looking to dedicate myself to a vocation that reflects my caring and passionate nature.

Experience

As the oldest growing up with younger siblings, I am used to being a helpful hand to my single mother. Although I have not been a live-in au pair before, I do have significant experience nannying for numerous families in the U.S. and in France since I was 16 years old. I worked several days a week for each family as needed, on average for 1 year, handling up to two children under the ages of 10 by managing meal preparation, homework assistance, and extracurricular activities among other tasks. My most recent job was in Paris, France where I worked from September 2022 until July 2023 when I finished school and moved back to the U.S.
