Letter to the family
Hello! My name is Rocío, I'm 22 years old, and I'm from Salta, Argentina.
I've always had a deep love for children, especially babies. I truly enjoy accompanying them as they grow and watching them discover the world around them. I love being able to support them in their learning process and provide them with a safe, loving, and positive environment.
I come from a close-knit family: I'm the second of four sisters. My mom works at a bank, and my dad is self-employed. Growing up in a large family taught me responsibility, patience, and loving care.
I'm a very independent, curious, and open-minded person. I love traveling, meeting new people, and adapting to different environments. I consider myself sociable and friendly. Although I tend to be a little shy at first, I quickly gain confidence and feel at home.
After pursuing several university degrees, I found something I loved and graduated as a Community Manager. I worked in that field for a while, but over time, I realized that what truly fulfills me is being present in children's daily lives. That's why I now want to continue along that path and, later, pursue professional training in something related to childcare or early childhood.
I speak Spanish as my native language and have a good level of English. I understand and can speak it fluently, although I sometimes struggle a bit, so one of my goals as an au pair is to perfect my language skills. I would also love to learn new languages in the future.
Being an au pair is, for me, a perfect opportunity to continue growing both personally and culturally, while doing what I love most: taking care of children and accompanying them in their daily lives with love, responsibility, and enthusiasm. I started babysitting when I was 15, first helping my parents with my younger sisters and, over time, working independently. I have a lot of experience, especially with babies, with whom I feel most connected. I feel very comfortable caring for children from newborns to 3 or 4 years old, although I have also worked with older children.
I spent two years in the United States working as a nanny for different families. I provided all kinds of care: during the day, at night, on weekends, and even living with families for short periods. All these experiences taught me to be flexible, gain the trust of parents, and adapt to different routines and parenting styles. In my free time, I really enjoy doing whatever I feel like doing at the moment. I like going for walks, going for walks, and discovering new places. Although I don't play sports, I like going to the gym when I can. I also really enjoy drawing, as it relaxes me, and cooking is one of my greatest passions. I love watching movies, talking with my friends, going out for drinks, or just enjoying a quiet chat.
