Letter to the family

Hi there,

My name is Mardi and I am a 21 year old student originally from Australia but currently living and studying in the Netherlands. I am about to graduate from a degree in Science (Psychology) and am very passionate about my field of studies.

I have worked across a number of roles in the previous 6-7 years and have extensive experience in hospitality, customer service and childcare. My last role was as a dance teacher for children ages 2-14 in Australia. I would love to continue to work with children and find it comes quite naturally to me. I have grown up with 2 siblings whom I love and miss.

I am energetic, caring and hard working and believe I could bring these qualities to this role. I have been living in Europe for 4 months now but would love to stay a bit longer after completing my degree. I hope to find a family who could benefit from my help and I could get to know.

Experience

I started babysitting from the age of 14 and have continued to do it casually alongside my studies. A few years later I became a sports coach for children which kickstarted my love of working for children. I then moved to Canberra and became a dance teacher for young children. I stayed in this role for 2 years and formed beautiful connections with different children and their families. I learnt so much about communicating with children positively and based on their individual needs. I think I would really enjoy being an Au Pair abroad given my love of travel and working alongside children. I am flexible, I love exploring and connecting with new people.
