Letter to the family

I'm a 22 (soon 23) year old girl from Finland and live in Turku which is a city on the southwest coast of Finland. I graduated from high school in 2020 so this is my 4th ”gap year”. My biggest destination is get in university to study business and marketing.

While I'm preparing for the entrance exam (which is at the beginning of June) I'm looking for new experinces. Actually, the funny thing is that I have already been as an au pair at the end of last year but now I would like to experince it again.

I have a lot of experience with kids of all ages so that's why this kind of job would suit me very well. I have worked in many kindergarten, coached gymnastics and been as a camp counselor at the youth camp etc. The list is long.

Experience

My last au pair experience was very unforgettable but I still have the feeling that I should have seen and experinced more.

I'm looking for an open-minded host family with a good sense of humor who would welcome me as a part of the family. I love an active lifestyle so it would be a big plus if the family would take me on trips and show me some places sometimes. I think it is extremely important to have a good connection so I also expect to get along well with parents as well.

In addition, I would like to find a host family where at least one of the parents speaks Finnish. I understand English very well but can't speak it fluently yet. I also understand Swedish and very little Italian and German. Of course I'm open-minded and motivated to learn new languages but I still need someone to speak Finnish with.
